Work Experience
Performed the analysis, design, programming and Team
Leadership for the migration of the Tandem and HP portions
of the Truck Costing and Pricing System (Viking Freight) to an
IBM MVS computer. Produced all the Project Specifications.
Then became the Team Leader directing the work of three other
programmers as well as managing the project's schedule.
As a team leader interfaced with the users, IT management,
other team leaders as well as the DBA's, Technical Support and
Operations groups. The IBM system was comprised of COBOL and DB2 COBOL
programs executed by JCL via a CA7 scheduler.
During all the projects listed below directed the efforts of 1-4 people as team leader and/or project manager. Performed the analysis, design, programming and team leadership for a Truck Costing and Pricing System. This system interfaces all major business applications of the company. This includes the General Ledger, Payroll, Pricing, Equipment Control, Shipment Control and Tracking systems. Modified all major business applications to support the new pricing and costing systems.
